Every Tony's meal is lovingly made.. Here are some of our most requested.

The Carpet Bag Steak
An old favourite; tender eye fillet stuffed with juicy oysters. A potent mix.
The Seafood Platter
A seafood feast fit for a king. Hot and cold delicacies including pan fried scallops, king prawns, calamari, oysters, steamed mussels and fresh salmon sashimi.
Mushroom Fettuccine
Delicate ribbon pasta atop delicious garlic infused portobello mushrooms gently cooked in basil pesto and drizzled with a sweet balsamic reduction.
Prawn Cocktail
An old favourite, tasty prawns served chilled with thousand island dressing.
Sticky Pork Ribs
Big ones with plenty of meat on the bones covered in a rich rib sauce with notes of sweet soy, garlic and maple.
The Pacific Steak
Tender eye fillet stuffed with crab meat, topped with grilled prawns and finished with our beautiful béarnaise sauce.

  An Auckland must
Be sure to make a reservation so you do not miss out. We made a reservation a couple of hours before with not problems. Great to see prawn cocktail on the menu and the wonderful photos form yesteryear on the walls. The food options are varied and the steaks as always were delicious as was the pavlova.

  Tony’s still going strong after 60 years!
I’d picked out Tony’s before we left Aus thanks to reviews I’d read, and this place did not disappoint! Absolutely delicious food, helpfully paired with a a beautiful red wine by our very attentive and friendly waitress. Make a point in coming here for a meal when you’re in Auckland, just sensational!

  Excellent choice when it comes to steaks
Excellent steakhouse; I didn't have any fish during my visit, so it won't be judged here. The welcome and the service were very friendly and attentive. They asked if everything was okay and if we had any other requests. The food, or rather my meal, was an excellent T-bone steak, cooked medium to perfection with vegetables and salad. 2 sides were included in the price. Afterward, there was a New York cheesecake, which was also excellent. All in all a good choice, and the price-performance ratio was also right from my perspective.

  Best seared beef salad
Fantastic food and a great atmosphere! The place was really busy, which says a lot about its popularity, but the service was still friendly, attentive, and efficient. The food was absolutely top-notch—fresh, delicious, and full of flavour. Definitely a place I’d happily visit again!

  Easily the best food, service and value of any restaurant in Auckland
Consistency is what I love about Tony's. Whomever is the Manager/Owner of this establishment is obviously passionate, knowledgable and this is reflected in the team that operate the front of house. The food is of a high quality, the service is quick and friendly and this restaurant should be the benchmark for all other such-like places... If your hospitaility business is struggling, just book time for lunch or dinner at Tony's and the things you need to work on will be obvious.

  Great eating experience
The place is very nostalgic for a historic Auckland but romantic and bring character to the dining experience. Food was simply great and satisfying.
